SKIP-BO Card Game by Mattel – Ages 7 & up
My husband & I used to play this game all the time (before we had kids). I used to play it a lot with my sister too. In fact, I believe she was actually the one that introduced it to us! It’s a great 2 player game, although I believe you can play with up to 6. It’s very simple, easy to explain & a lot of fun. Each player gets a 20 card stockpile (although I think it might be 30 cards for 2 players). When it is your turn, you’ll draw a card from a central pile, then stack any cards you can from your hand sequentially onto one of four “build” piles surrounding the central draw pile (for example, an eight onto a seven, a three onto a two). The plentiful Skip-Bo cards are wilds and help to keep you stacking. You’ll always want to discard from your own stockpile, as the first to get rid of all those will be declared the winner. This would make a great stocking stuffer, especially for a couple that wants to get back into or start gaming together.
